With over 10+ years of hands-on industry experience, founder Matthew Walker has built a reputation across Chicago for technical excellence and a refreshingly straightforward approach. What began as a single technician driving a single truck has grown — slowly, deliberately — into a team that still answers its own phone and still shows up when they say they will.

Walker HVAC was founded after Matthew spent years working for larger shops and watching the same pattern repeat: rushed diagnostics, upsold repairs, and homeowners left with systems they didn't understand. He started Walker to do the opposite — to take the time to explain what was wrong, to quote in writing before lifting a wrench, and to stand behind every job long after the invoice was paid.

Today, that philosophy shapes everything from how we hire (slowly, and only NATE-certified techs we'd trust in our own homes) to how we price (flat-rate, written, never negotiated mid-job).
